Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid critic of films that are Z-graded typically in the horror or martial arts categories. Her style and approach is similar to The Cinema Snob. However she prefers to review crappy action flicks with a morbid fascination. After earning some recognition in the forums on Channel Awesome (under her previous handle Obscurus Lupa) and began her write reviews in late 2009. The site remained active until mid-2015 when the channel Obscurus Lupa Presents was retooled into Movie Nights. She also currently runs two podcasts on her channel, both of which cover the Charmed series and co-hosted with Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. When she gained acclaim on Channel Awesome forums, she was asked into the Reviewer community. She has made numerous appearances throughout Channel Awesome, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. She as well as Doug Walker were once members of Channel Awesome. They would frequently be featured in shows like Nostalgia Critic.
