She was in two episodes of Showtime's Weeds which starred Mary Louise Parker. The roles she played included Judy Kramer as a Fox 2005 series Point Pleasant, and Marcy playing a character on Dawson's Creek. In the course of three seasons, she was Marina Cooper in the soap opera Guiding Light and the character brought her the Soap Opera Digest Awards nomination in 2003, for Outstanding Newcomer. Dollar played Cindy Thomas from 2007 until 2008 in the ABC soap opera Women's Murder Club. The actress was on her 2012 NBC Pilot Happy Valley but it was not picked up.
